Ginger and Robert's Story
My life so far....
I am married to Robert Patterson who I met in Sunday School in January 1999. Robert graduated from Sunset High School in Dallas in 1966.
We moved to Florida in September 2000, and lived there for eight years. In April of 2008 we bought 10 acres in Genoa, Arkansas and moved back to Arkansas. Since then we have added about 1600 square feet to the "rustic" cabin that was on the place when we bought it. We went with a "lodge" decor. My mom would have called it "hodge podge".
In January 2011 I completed a guest house/office on our property where I do business as GCP Designs. I design & draft building plans for homes and small commercial buildings.
I have two sons, Anthony (Tony) Ghio (b 1976) and Andrew (Andy) Ghio (b 1979).
Andy is the father of our three grandchildren: Elizabeth Joy Ghio (Libbie) born in March 2001, Andrew Joseph Ghio, Jr. born January 2005 and Bernard Jacob Ghio born April 2012. Tony is divorced and lives in a suburb of Austin (Leander), TX. He works for More Space Place, a company that sells and builds custom closets, home offices & Murphy beds. He is a furniture builder and installer.
Now that I am back in the Texarkana area, I am back to staying busy with my work and family. It is GREAT to be home!
I have a facebook page under the name Ginger Porterfield Patterson. I have a business FB page under Ginger Carter Patterson. Robert has a FB page in his name (he would like to hear from his Sunset High friends).
Robert is retired from D & Z after nearly 20 years, and he stays busy keeping our house and yard looking neat. We have two dogs who are our babies. Sugar is a long legged straight haired Jack Russell terrier who we adopted at Pet Smart in 2008. Sadie is a beautiful boxer who we got as a six week old puppy in January 2014. We hope Sadie will become mellow when she reaches her maturity like the boxers I grew up with. She has been a handful in her first 18 months. They are a lot of company and really keep us laughing!
