Giselle's Story
After graduation I spent five years studying at UPR Rio Piedras, joined Air Force ROTC and Tuna UPR. Didn't graduated since I decided to move out to live on my own place. Joined grupo Las Cheris in 1988, traveled to Santo Domingo, Filadelfia and Honduras. Concurrently worked at hotels as a waitress. Worked all my way up to F & B supervisor and got married ( for the first time) in 1991. Went to live to New York, got divorced in 1992 and came back to PR. & B. Later I changed my job and went to work as a receptionist at Plaza del Caribe administrative ofices. Got married for the second time in 1994 and moved to Bayamón. Gave birth to two boys ( now 20 and 16) and got divorced ( again) in 2003. Worked at Municipio de Bayamón from 2000 to 2004, worked for FEMA from 2005 to 2008. Started studying again in 2004 and graduated last year (2007). Got my BA in Social Sciences with a Major in Social Work ( Magna Cum Laude). Left back to US on 2011 and now I live in Vienna, Virginia.
