Gladys's Story
Life
I work for a construction company as an Executive Secretary. I enjoy the work. The construction world is so different, it truly is a man's world. 90% of the guys who work here are Aggies. Sometimes it's tough being a woman in this business. But as they say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
Since graduation:
My sister, Charlotte, passed away on August 8, 1974 after a long battle with cancer she was 24 years old. She was diagnosed my freshmen year. My dad passed away on December 24, 1996 and my mom passed on Feb 10, 2000. I married on March 4, 1978 and Jim, my husband, was killed seven weeks later on ...Expand for more
April 25. I still miss him to this day and wish we could have had more time together. I tried marriage again in 1980 and in 1986 decided I had enough of that and have been single ever since. I do have the most wonderful man in my life Ed. We have been together since 1986 and he spoils me sooooooo. No kids, wasn't in God's plan for me. So for exercise we snow ski, water ski and mountain bike. I also dabble around a little in Interior Decorating. My life at times has been a little tough but, looking back on it I have been very blessed with a lot of love and some very wonderful people in my life. All and all I'm happy.
