Glen's Story
Born & raised at Kindersley, Sask. Worked as an automotive engine rebuilder after graduation. Operated a coin laundry & dry cleaning service with my father. Entered the funeral business & worked in Weyburn, apprenticed in Saskatoon & then went to work as head technician in the Dept. of Anatomy at the Univ. of Sask. Medical College. Following this, I managed three funeral homes, an ambulance service & monument sales in Kindersley, Kerrobert & Eston, Sk. over the next several years. vice clubs, Chamber of Commerce, town council & served as mayor of Kindersley for a time. Finally was attracted to the hospitality industry & have spent the last working years in hotel management in Prince Rupert, Calgary & Kelowna, where I managed The Royal Anne Hotel & currently the Okanagan Seasons Resort. Actively involved as a director of the Kelowna Hotel Motel Association since 2005.
Celebrated 47 yrs of marriage with wife, Pat in May 2009.We have 3 children, 4 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren. Pat passed away July24/09 following a short but hard fought battle with cancer. Hobbies & interests have included golf, curling, skiing & enjoying life¿s experiences.
