Glenda's Story

Life My life seems to be full of spontaneous activities lately. My husband and I will take the kids to the zoo, aquarium, or myrtle beach three times per week if the weather, work, and school permits. We do very little planning for vacations. We like to get up and go, it makes life more exciting and unpredictable. My husband and I also ride dirtbikes with our oldest son every chance we get. It keeps the pulse racing. We love it here in South Carolina (the palmetto state) We have pure air and beautiful trees. It is the perfect retirement state with the best weather that any state can offer. We don't get snow but if the meteorologist predicts snow, schools will be closed. We aren't as equipped as cities like Baltimore. The cost of living is cheap. In fact the cigarettes are about 2 whole dollars cheaper down here. Not that it's an advantage of mine being as though I quit about a month ago after 8 years. The people are friendly and southern. They love my "accent". Of course they have the country accent but they think I speak so Northern and they enjoy hearing me speak. I love to visit Baltimore and I visit every February,June, and July. I am in the process of completing my first novel. I have discussed publication with several companies but am not yet pleased with the offers that beginning writers get. Especially when you are as creative and talented as I am (smile). I loved Mervo, and all of the beautiful people who were a part of it. I really loved the drama club, badminton, and modern dance. I still modern dance for my husband and kids for entertainment. With age we only get better. Well I hope you h...Expand for more
ave enjoyed my little bio, and if we were cool or even knew eachother at all email me. I'd like to know how everything is going with everybody. School My favorite thing about high school were my closest friends. They know who they were, but I haven't been able to locate them anywhere. I also loved the school plays, and modern dance. I also miss all my friends who were in Printing. College I took time out from college to maintain a healthy home environment for my kids. They are all older now, and I am currently attending college as a returning adult. I am double majoring in Nursing and Human Services. I plan on going for my Masters degree and becoming a Clinical Nurse Specialist. Preferably a Nurse Anesthetist (anesthesia). I am pursuing the human services degree to provide a solid foundation for myself in the behavioral sciences.I have also been writing an urban novel that I have been discussing deals with a few publishing companies. My passion is writing, so I do plan to be an established writer while pursuing a career as an Anesthetist. Workplace I just recently discontinued working to continue my education. I worked for a major telephone company in South Carolina (Bellsouth) I was a part of the EPCG. Electronic Payment Claims Group, where I was responsible for investigating electronic payments, investigating fraud, negotiating with clients banks to come to a resolutiion concerning fees. I was also required to act as online technical support for customers needing online assistance. I would also set up customers for automatic bank draft via the customers credit card or bank account.
