Glenda's Story
I graduated ECHS in 1960/61. My twin sister, Linda and I moved to Bowling Green. Linda still lives there. In 1996 my first husband died (leukemia) and I remarried in 2001 and we now live in Auburn, Ky. Many things have happened during this time.
I worked for South Central Bell from 1965 to 1977. I retired to stay home and just be a house wife. After a few years of playing golf, shopping, and just,"goofing" off I deceided to pursue a life long dream to be a registered nurse. So at 39 years old I went to WKU nursing school. Most of my time since graduation has been spen in Home Care for The Medical Center in B. G.
I am still working some in the summer months on an "as needed" basis. I just can't give it up. I love what I do for our patients and we ...Expand for more
are doing so many wonderful things at home now. The patients can be home with their families and still get the care they need.
I enjoy spending time with family, playing golf and my husband and I spend the winters in The Villages, Fl.
I have been very blessed with everything except children so I just enjoy my great nieces and nephews. They are like
My own grand children.
On November 28th 2014 I lost my husband, Ken. He was a wonderful man and we were married 13 years and dated for 4 years. He was a special person and I will always have him in my heart. My first husband died in 1996 of leukemia.
I have moved to Bowling Green near my two sisters. Have bought a condo and will try to settle in to being alone again. I have brown very blessed in my life.
