GLENDER ANDERSON:  

After school I worked for the City, then got hired in the Steel Mill 1974 and took up Electrician trade. Got my Journeyman card 1981. I was laid off in 1984, went back to College and was hired by Ford Motor co. in Chicago in 1985 as an Electrician and laid off ater 3 months, then I was hired by General Motors in 1986 as a Electrician. In 1990 I was elected by the international union as a Employee Assistance Rep.for our local to help employees at Gm that were having family problems, problems on job, etc. I am still presently doing this job for the union and GM. I was married in 1970 to Reginald Anderson (deceased 2003). We have 2 sons age 32 and 37, three grandsons ages 9, 13, 17. I belong to many organizations, I am 1st Vice President of Lansing Branch NAACP, Precinte Delegate, member of Ingham County Democrats, Treasure for A.
