Glenda's Story
Most people might not remember me much from High School, I was a professional school skipper. I'm sure Mr. Doyle and Mr. Cacciatore (sp) never forgot me though. I did obtain my GED in 1974 and then took a few college courses.
I worked for Michigan Bell for 8 years as an information operator until carpal tunnel ended my career there.
I have 2 wonderful sons, 2 beautiful foster daughters that I clumsily guided through their teenage years, and 2 step children.
This has resulted in a total of 17 beautiful young people ranging in ages from 23 to newborn that call me Grandma. Whether it be by birth or an honorary title, I love being a grandma.
My own sons are 31 and 18 and both are proof that there are some things I can do right (lol). They live in Rockford, IL and Paxton, IL.
I am a pet lover I have 3 dogs (Doberman, Lab, and Mini-Schnauzer) 3 cats and a Congo African Gray Parrot that has the vocabulary of a 3-4 year old.

ond husband passed suddenly from a heart attack in 1994 after 18 years together. Two years later I met a wonderful man on the computer, I moved to Rockford, IL where he lived and we were married within a year. God has blessed me twice with very different but very loving husbands.
I now live in a little town in East Central Illinois called Buckley. There are only 600 people here and I love it. Buckley has become my adopted home town, Lincoln Park will always be first and foremost as my home town. Since I am now have many health issues (too much partying back in the old days) I spend most of my time at home with my pets and I enjoy cooking and have become very good at crocheting I also look forward to summers when grandchildren take turns visiting me.
All in all it has been an interesting life but has now become laid back and somewhat boring, but is all a part of who I am and who I've become and I sort of like the end result.
