Feb 2012 Update Hello again Glemnary Elders! I cannot believe two more years have passed since I last updated my story. Thanks to all of you who kept checking in! It has been an interested couple of years for sure. WOW! Officially this year, Glenmary Class of '82 is celebrating 30 years!!!!!! Where does the time go? Remember the 70's and 80's in good old Peace River? We never thought we would be nearing or at (for some of us) our 50's! That felt like such a lifetime ahead. And here it is.... As I said two years ago, we never thought we would age did we? I have enjoyed getting caught up on at all of your postings, and only wish more of you would write stories - but we all are busy, aren't we? Well, here is the two year quick update on my life: WORK: - When I last posted my story in Feb 2010, I had started a new job with Goodwill Industries of Alberta as Director HR, after the sorry closure of the biotech firm I was working for. Unfortunately, after one year with Goodwill, it was just not a fit and a tough organization to add HR value to. - So I resigned a year later, and took the big leap from corporate, salaried HR into the world of entrepreneurial executive recruiting. Good segway into full HR consulting for sure. Did the "headhunting gig" for 9 months, and then moved on in Nov 2011 into a dynamic outsourced expertise company, Riata Partners. - I am the Director of HR Services for Riata Partners, leading a business unit providing broad range HR services to small and medium businesses.
