Glenn's Story

Life?? It's all about Loving and Growing and Serving and Giving. Tuned in to my love of music and have performed over 10,000 concerts just about everywhere east of the Mississippi! I may be the "poor man's answer" to Michael Buble' but its a living and a lot of fun. I took some faith steps in 2005...donated most of what I owned to charity and sold the rest on Ebay. (Did I own it or did it own me?) Traveling light, I followed the still inner voice within my heart. Good choice! I've had some fantastic experiences... a 10 day visit to London and Paris in Nov '05 and then settled in Manhattan for a year. ... debuted in New York at The Duplex (nightclub) on June 30, 2006... and did a number of concerts in local venues in the Big Apple. Then spent another two weeks in Europe in Nov '06 visiting Ireland, Scotland, London, Paris and Venice....Jan '07 moved to the warmer climate of Austin, Texas (Spring, Spring, Spring, Summer)...but missed the life of a New Yorker. Moved back to New York City in May '08....lived on the Upper West Side for 5 years till they sold my building. . Who'd a thought? I've seen 100 or more Broadway shows in the last few years, met many notable celebrities... attended the 2008, 2009 & 2013 Tony Awards, Bette Midler's 60th Birthday Party at the Waldorf Astoria, etc.....attended concerts ranging from the Rolling Stones and Bon Jovi to Streisand, Adele, Celine Dion, Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, etc. I've traveled a lot and have recently been to Honolulu a few times. I think it is my second home....or at least I would like it to be. I have three grown children and a few grand children. In 2017 I moved to the Seattle area to be near my children & grandchildren. I've traveled back to NYC every quarter...Expand for more
just to see shows and enjoy the city. Through the years now, I've done a lot more traveling but with this recent epidemic I'm just staying home. For the last few years I've done more singing, especially for a weekly, church sponsored community breakfast served to the homeless & less fortunate. I share hymns and brotherhood songs of the 70's and such... anything from Amazing Grace to Oh, Happy Day with Love Train and Spirit in the Sky thrown in. The folks seem to enjoy it. Life is still good and I'm loving it!!! I encourage others to reach for their dreams and to be thankful for the lives, gifts, and talents they've been given. We've all been told that life is a journey and my encouragement to anyone reading this is to give thanks for all that you have and to believe in yourself. Give yourself a break and give others a break as well. We're all different for a reason. The world would be very boring if everyone was like me, or you. Celebrate the fact that there is only one "you" on this planet and that you are here for a reason. Find your purpose and dive into it..... Yes, there are tragedies and muck to deal with, but let those experiences propel you forward instead of holding you back. Don't be afraid of anything! Fear and doubt will paralyze you but don't let it. When the chips are down, LOOK UP!!!! There's somebody up there who loves you! Don't let your faith in God or yourself be written by what others have to say, make your own decisions based on what you know to be true and seek more knowledge. No one can walk the path for you and no one can hand knowledge to you. You have to desire it. I hope that you find the joy, peace and love that I have found and that you celebrate each day of your journey.
