Glenn's Story
Tried that college thang for about two months after graduating, wasn't for me. Joined the Air Force in Nov 74, had my Tech school in Mississippi(that place was a trip or maybe I was still in my Burn Baby Burn Phase)until Jun 75. My 1st Duty station was San Vito Italy, spent 2 1/2 wild and crazy Fun times there. Bought a camera and became Tommy Tourist on My time off..had great fun visiting Germany..Austria..France ..Spain..Ireland and Greece(great nude beaches). My 2nd Duty station was at Ft Meade Maryland(NSA), didn't really work that well for me, I still liked to smoke unlicensed Erbs, Unc Sam didn't. We came to the mutually agreed upon decision to part ways( Honorable Discharge..yes!!). The best thing is that I met my wife there and as of this Oct, we are still going strong 45 years later. Got out of the AF in 1978, my wife had just come in, so I became the Family member(I was Never a Depen...Expand for more
dent). We were stationed at Tyndall AFB until 1984, where my two sons were born, the 1st Glynn. Alexander and the 2nd Nickalaus Patrick. Stationed in the Philippines from '84 to 1988(was there during the Revolution that got rid of Marcos, even marched in some of rallies against him)...while there visited Japan(one of the cleanest countries I have ever been in).. korea(great shopping and strong liquor) had a good time until the Rebels fighting the Govt started targeting and killing Americans, then it was time to go, which we did in. July of '88. Got stationed here in Hampton Va at Langley AFB and have been here ever since. Became a Master Cabinetmaker(22 years in shops). Started my own Company in 2012...GDF Enterprises(Contractoring..Lawn care and Short Term Rentals) and now I'm semi-retired working when I want to(doing Lawn care). Enjoying life and Blocking out all the Crazy as much as I can.
