Glenn Gumaer:  

Life Greetings, I am Dr. Glenn Gumaer. I was born in the Territory of Alaska in 1955, and reared in the North Pole area, about thirteen miles southeast of Fairbanks. I am the fifth of eight children. Being from a large family, I learned to thrive in a competitive atmosphere. I became an avid athlete and enjoy distance running, cross-country skiing, figure skating, golfing, and more recently, mountain bike racing. I was also competitive scholastically and developed a keen interest in biology, physiology, and anatomy, which eventually lead me to study chiropractic. I say eventually, because I dabbled in many disciplines before attending chiropractic school. I built homes with my father, who was a carpenter. During high school, I worked as the night manager of Dick and Don’s Texaco. I was the biological sciences storekeeper for the University of Alaska, Fairbanks.
