nded there in Dec. 1978 due to a back injury. I wasn't healthy enough for USMC duty but the Air Force Reserve took me in at Newark AFB Heath, OH for 17 more years, I retired from the Air Force with a total service time of 27 years 3 months and 21 days on Sept. 31 1996. While in the reserves I landed a job with the Goverment at the same AFB in heath. But Newark AFB was closed in round 2 of the BRAC in 1997, but The Boeing Co. took over all the missle and aircraft guidance systems in place so I stayed right at my repair station untill 2011 when my health, Cancer and my bach, forced me to retire. I think I'am blessed by GOD, having survived 3 major back surgeries and 3 surgeries for cancer. I've lost a kidney, part of my colon, and part of my left lung. All three cancers were primary cancers. But I keep on going amazing my doctors and staying on the wright side of the dirt. I still think like a Marine. SEMPER FI. I have amassed 3 Grand sons 1 Gran Daughter. 1 Gran Daughter and 1 unknownon the way. I love being Grand Pa. Best job in the world.
My Job RETIRED
I use to work with a microscope repairing pression parts used in missle and military aircraft guidance systems.
