Glenn's Story
Life
I entered the Marine Corps shortly after graduation and after boot camp and training schools for Aviation Ground Support Electrician and Refrigeration Technician I was stationed in MCAS Iwakuni, Japan. I was then transfered to MCAS New River, NC where I was a maintenance controller and a crew cheif for a CH-46 helicopter squadron. I was deployed twice aboard ship to the Former Republic of Yugoslavia and once to Haitti to overthrow the military dictator in charge. I then received orders to MCB Hawaii where I also went to Hawaii Pacific University where I received my Associate in Supervisory Leadership. acksonville, FL and now I am a Master Sergeant stationed in San Diego, CA where I completed a tour in Iraq, life is so much fun when your getting shot at. I am nearing completion of my tour at ComNavAirForce, here in San Diego, where I spend about 240 days of the year traveling the world, inspecting Naval Aviation maintenance activites and will be transferring back to MCAS New River, NC.
Military
It's been 21 years now and I keep telling myself that I am going to have to give this up and find a real job, just can't bring myself to retire just yet. Even with the ever increasing responsibilities and pressure of constant combat deployments, I still have a hard time seeing myself doing anything else. Just a few more years of fun and then I swear that I will grow up.
