Glenn's Story
Life
Graduate 1980 from The Ohio State University with a degree in fisheries Management. I ha worked for The Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Wildlife as a Fish Biologist (or fish squeezer what ever you prefer) for 33 but retired 2013.
Got married in 1981 to college sweetheart and still am 39 years later.
I was in the Ohio Army National Guard for 6 years 1983 - 1989 then reenlisted Aug 7 1990 right before Dessert Storm for one more year before really messing up my ankle and had to be honorably discharged and now a vet.
Spent Several years coaching Kids Ice hockey teams.
I have two sons 35 and 33, one went to Miami of Ohio for four years for electrical engineering now transfered to The Ohio State and graduated. The youngest went to The Ohio State majoring in Security and Intelligence. (They obviously got their mother's brain, genes). At this rate youngest will be a graduate before oldest!
On Jul 14 I had a heart Attack. Had two stints put in and after so healing of the heart will have a third put in. Why the attack, Overweight (bet 90% of us are if go by some weight chart. Lack excercise a little bit, but a physical job makes up for som...Expand for more
e of that, Bad diet not as good as some, but lot better then a lot. Main reason according to my heart doctor.... 70% sure mostly genetics. AHh my parents at it again. Doing fine right now, but still need some work done.
School
I had a crush on Cindy Smith, but she didn't have a clue
Military
Basic training was awesome, but tough. Did my 19 weeks and ran more miles then ever in my life. Came out a Anti-Tank (TOW gunner) and grunt. Did my 7 years and got hurt and was discharged. Tried to reenlist in the Air force reserve, but they took one look at my medical record and said thanks no thanks.
Update 2020
July 14 2008 at around 4:00 pm I fell to a heart attack. I now have 3 stents in my arteries around my heart and starting a herat rehabilitation program in a few weeks. I guess I inherieted some genes from my parents that well you get the idea. The docotrs a went over my weight, eatting habits, and physical demands and conculed I was just unlucky. I admit I'm not in perferct condition, but like the docotrs said compared to 70% of the population I score real well. Anyway that black cloud that flies over my head keeps striking, but I'm fighting back :)
