Gloria's Story
Circa 1950s Memphis Belle. I learned to embroider in early childhood from my grandmother who embroidered fine linens. One of her customers was the doctor's wife who owned Graceland before Elvis. My current needlework passion is: Prairie Dolls. I hand stitch each, sign and date it, then find it a loving home. At various stages of my life, I have been Wife, Mother, Widow (twice), Fabric Store clerk, Floral Shop help, Wedding Singer, School Secretary, Computer Teacher, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Motorhome Traveler, and Auctioneer on ebid.net and ebay.com (All have been a lot of fun) Before my so called retirement, I taught Introductory Computer Classes for Adults. I continue to maintain my address, coolidgeg, on one of the Windows mail sites. My role models are the over 80 lad...Expand for more
ies who came in to learn something new and did. I can hardly wait! I am alive and well in Hudson, FL. I make my home in a large double-wide manufactured house in snow-bird park convenient to everything and have traded in the 37' motorhome for a 1976 10' Fleetwing camper/trailer which my daughter, Diana, and I repaired and updated. My husband, Leslie Wilkie, was retired AF and we camped with a military retired travel group (S*M*A*R*T*). I am still a member and meet with them on alternate months. This month the "muster" is at 1000 Palms RV resort about 1 1/2 hours northeast of Hudson. The mini poodle and the Shih Tsu always go with me. I guess that just about covers everything for now...but tomorrow is another day.
Regards to all of you who helped make my life what it is.
