Gloria's Story
Life
I was born and raised in Nova Scotia, Canada. I went to Brigham Young University in 1970. I have three children ages 37, 32, and 30. I have four grandchildren ages 6, 3,3,and 1. I graduated from the University of Houston in 1980 summa cum laude and received the award for "Outstanding English Graduate". Married my BYU University sweetheart in 2004. He passed away in November.
Workplace
After high school, I attended a one-year steno course and worked for six years at Halifax County Vocational School. I worked part-time in the Library at BYU. Worked two years as a steno at Houston Natural Gas. I was working as a high school English teacher since 1983. Retired in 2011.
