I've become a jack of all trades in life. In H.S. every w/end we worked on the ranch in Dripping Spring. This hard work taught me the importance "you can do it" I miss being able to ride h/back and being out in nature. We left Texas for Wyo.in summer 1968. My father survived a battle w/colon cancer in 1967. In 1973-1975 I served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter_day Saints. We were volunteers for 18 mo's at our own money. I served in Alaska-British Columbia Mission.
I'm now beginning to s/book this event. This summer I transcribed over 30 journal pages that were in colored ink. I just made pockets for my journal entries.
We don't date, watch T.V. read n/papers during this 18 mo. period of time.I'm going back into my journals reading of my experiences.
I'm putting this together for my son. I'm a convert to the LDS church and the 1st to serve a mission.
I learned leadership skills, talk impromptly on my feet, grew to love the Canadian people and Canada. It was a life changing event that has effected my life.
I got Post Polio in 1985. This dramtically alterted my life. I had 4 c/ren by then. They grew up w/a d/able mother.
This resulted in me being coming active in d/ability issues. I was involved in A.D.A.at the begiining. A state class action suit against city Of Stratford,Ct for inaccessible schools resulted. The 1st action in Ct. to make the public schools accessible.

The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is g-g-father maddox, because I want to hear more of his stories as young preacher In OK. territory. To br ablre to hug him again and hear his voice.
I always wanted to be a vet when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were wrong, college algebra blew me away.
My first job was at Jackson Drug, where I got paid $1.25 hr to mim wage. What I remember most about it is I could eat all the h/made ice cream I wanted. This was in Jackson Hole,Wyom, where the owner called me Tex.
