Glynn's Story
Let's try to keep it brief... (that's a lark)...
Moved away in 1986 and joined the Army for 3 years... Didn't like it so quit for a year. Joined the Airforce and liked it lots. Quit 4 years later to persue other interests and didn't enjoy much success, so joined back up into the Navy. Hated that so much I could have killed myself, but there was some very interesting sites I saw while travelling and the humanitarian aspect made it all too important in making me who I am today. Managed to get back into the Airforce and retired in May 2010. One thing is, I stuck to Communications and Electronics all through my military career. That entire period was interspersed with other jobs as well... It's been colourful. Now I own my own business and do property and home inspections, but it doesn't pay so well. Good thing I have a pension to support my hobby/job, lol.
Throughout all that... Got married, had two kids.....Expand for more
. They're grown and moved out now... Got divorced, (12 yrs). Lived commonlaw for 9 yrs and it just was never right so I finally ended it.
Now I'm with my soul mate and we get along famously, (four grown up kids including her two, who have all left the nest). Got married in our back yard in August 2011.
It would be nice to reconnect with old acqaintances.
I've seen half the world, made friends and watched my family grow and dwindle.
I've dealt with ultimate tragedies, endured huge sacrifices and experienced extremely rewarding events as well.
All these things have had a profound impact on my life, but I wouldn't change a thing if I were to do it all again and could not wind up where I'm at today.
Now I am in Cold Lake, AB and looking to the future with great aspirations and a lot less drama, (why do other people persue it so vehemently?).
