Gordon's Story
Life
Graduated 1972. Entered Texas Tech as a mass communications major, wanting to direct TV or movies. Didn't work out...draft number was too low and I joined the Army in 1973 as a linguist (spy, lol). Spent 4 years jumping out of airplanes and looking at Russian soldiers through night scopes. I traveled a lot over there, the Netherlands, Austria, Italy, France.
Came back to Vic in 1977 and started working as sound man for the Drifters. I got tired of working until 4 a.m. every weekend and drifted myself for a while. Met a girl from Kentucky, got married, had two wonderful daughters,...Expand for more
got my degree in Industrial Psych, worked as Lack's safety director, and got divorced after 17 years. Dated for a couple of years, got remarried, took a position as a consultant for an international brokerage firm, moved to the Woodlands, commuted a lot. Took a position with FedEx as their safety director here in Houston, got a divorce (seems to be a trend). Currnetly supervising loss control for a national insurance company, very laid-back job.
Took up guitar while in the Army and play sporadically with several bands in the Houston area. Love Ren Fest and am moving to the Med Center.
