Gordon's Story

Life After High School I went on a mission to France. After serving there for 2 1/2 years, I returned to Ucon, Idaho and shortly thereafter (1961) moved to So. California where I began working in the computer industry. This required me to travel a lot all over the US. My full time employment ended while working on the B2 Bomber. In the course of all of this employment, I met and married Karren Petersen and we had 8 children and still live in our 3rd home. Retired (sort of) - where I served as the Bishop of the Young Single Adult Ward for 5 years - having had 85 weddings during my time of service. Current church ...Expand for more
assigments encompass teaching High Priests, Emergency Preparedness Director, Family History Specialist on the GOFH program, Home Teacher. Still helping my wife take care of her bed-ridden mother (85) and have done so for the past 3+ years. Life is busy life is good. A new grand child due in June - making it 29 Grand Children. Church service previous to the ones indicated above included, EQ President, Bishopric Counselor, High Council, Stake Executive Secretary, 1st (1 1/2 Yrs) and 2nd (3 1/2 Yrs) counselors in the Stake Presidency and then Stake President for 9 1/2 years. All wonderful and rewarding experiences.

There is a natural spring just a short distance from the ranch and the water flows freely here.  One of the reasons the ranch was established here.
The circular staircase in the tower.  Just for coming and going.  Neither he nor she nor any of their friends were ever confined here.
They called this the entrance to the mine - just to perpetuate the ruse.  Again - no gold was ever found here.  It was just a tale by Mr. Scotty to get money for his lifestyle.
