Grace's Story
I moved to Boston in 1987 to live with my future husband. We have now been married 21 years and I have done many things I never dreamed of. We have traveled to Europe three times, getting a cheap flight and just visiting places like Paris, London, Edinborough and Berlin. In 1998, we moved to Maine and bought a 150 year old farmhouse on the Penobscot river. now in full remission and walk three miles everyday. MS has changed my life and made me a better person. I run a self-help group for people with MS and their care partners, am part of a statewide Multiple Sclerosis Mission team and are on the committee for the MS walk this April. I volunteer regularly at a local state historic site helping out at special events and help with the maintenance of the grounds. I no longer sweat the small stuff and am greatful for every day I am up and walking around.
