Graeme's Story
Life - On November 13, 2016, Graeme Scott Goodlet, my beloved husband, passed away after surviving lung cancer for over six years.. He is missed terribly. Carole I. Gravelle,
I retired in 2006 and this picture was taken at the end of a 10 week backpacking trip through Mexico and Belize. In 2007 we did a trip all through Central America...7 countries in 7 weeks; 2008 and 2009 went to Mexico, Jamaica and Portugal; will be going to Mexico, Sicily and Italy in 2010. I am married (Carole) with one daughter (Isabelle) and one cat. I am a grandfather (Jacob and Nicolas). My daughter once asked me what I wanted from life...to love, laugh and live...not necessarily in that order!
School
I guess one of my best memories of Handsworth was being in a "garage" band with Peter Forbes, Pete Warner, M...Expand for more
artyn Stubbs and Doug Heatherington. At the informal 39th year Handsworth reunion this June at the old Avalon (Talyor's Crossing), the band members reunited...unfortunately Martin was not there. Best of all, Pete Warner gave us CDs of about 25 songs we had recorded in 1968 on a very cheap reel-to-reel. What a hoot to hear "The Herd" again after almost 40 years.
Workplace
During the summers while at UBC, I worked on a CN Steamship that went up to Alaska; I have been to Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan, etc. over 100 times! I graduated from UBC in 1974, joined the federal Public Service in 1975 and moved to Ottawa in 1977. In 2006, after 31 years in human resources, I retired. My last job was as the Director of Corporate Human Resources for Indian and Northern Affairs Canada. Best job? Retirement!
