Grant A.'s Story
Life
I enlisted in the Air Force within a month after graduation. After 2 years and a tour in Korea, I met my lovely wife, Saundra Hansen. We were married in October 1957 and soon after that we started our family. It developed into quite a clan. We have 5 children,17 grandchildren, and countless great, grandchildren. (I have lost count but I think it is 20). I spent 10 years in the Air Force and ANG; almost a year as a full time Air Guard technician. At that point I was offered an Air Traffic Control Position with the FAA and spent the next 30 years at that job in various locations in various kinds of related positions. ved to Monroe, Utah to be near most of our children. While in Kansas City, I sold men's suits, sportswear and housewares in a department store. I also worked as a tax professional for H&R Block, during the tax season, and a QA Analyst,testing tax software, while our tax programs are being developed and updated. I have remained working full time, now in Macy's department store, I retired for good on my 80th birthday and the next day left for Utah. We have remained active in the LDS Church and have sent 3 children, 2 Granddaughters, and 3 grandsons on Missions.
It has been a wonderful ride, rocky at times, but nice. My Wife, Saundra, Passed on Aug 21, 2017. I am remaining in Monroe until I join her on the other side. I hope to read your Bio in the near future.
