Greg's Story
Workplace
Started in horticulture as a side job during college at Wichita St University (KS). That turned into a full time job as the University Horticulturalist (no that wasn't my college major). From there went to work as an Asst Parks & Bldgs Supt in Hutchinson, KS. One division of that department was an airport. I assumed the duties of an Airport Mgr concurrent with the Park job. That turned into a full time job. Took a job from there to run a small commercial airport in Cape Girardeau, MO. Moved on from t...Expand for more
here to run a large busy general aviation airport in Chandler, AZ (suburb of Phoenix). Have been there for 9 years and don't plan on leaving soon.
Military
I got more than my share of military life growing up on miltary bases as an Air Force brat. Didn't want anymore of that so never signed up - beside they wouldn't commission me as an officer without all the boot camp junk (like I requested <grin>). I told them I wasn't interested ( of course, that didn't stop them from bugging me for several years though).
