Greg's Story
I've been married to Debby Rice (Hoxie AR Class of '78) since June '80. We have two children, a daughter born in May '84, and a son born in August '87. My daughter graduated high school at the American School of The Hague (The Netherlands), and after two years of university in Holland she moved back to the U.S. and completed her BA degree from Webster University in St. Louis in '06. She now works as a middle school teacher in Houston. My son graduated from the International School of Aberdeen (Scotland) and is a '09 graduate of the University of Arkansas with a BS in mathematics. In June he got married, and is currently living in Springdale, Arkansas.
I graduated from Arkansas State (BS Math '80) and Virginia Tech (MS Applied Math '82). I've been working since graduation as a geophysicist in the Exploration and Production divi...Expand for more
sion of Shell Oil Company. My areas of expertise are seismic data processing and 3D depth imaging. My family and I have had the opportunity during my time at Shell to spend 8 years on international assignments. We returned to the U.S. for good in October '05, and now reside in Sugar Land, Texas, just outside of Houston.
In November '06, Debby and I became grandparents of a little boy named Aiden (our daughter's son). He's an amazing and precious little fellow, and always knows just how to bring a smile to "paw paw's" face!
My current plan is to retire in the spring of 2015, at which time we'll be moving back to northern Arkansas. I'm already looking forward to having more time with my family and spending lots of time traveling, fishing, hunting and catching up on my hobbies.
I'd enjoy hearing from friends from my school years.
