Military Official work bio from press release: "Lieutenant Commander Greg Magee is a 1994 graduate of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy with a Bachelor of Science in Government. His first tour was Deck Watch Officer and Boarding Officer in USCGC DALLAS (WHEC 716). In 1996, he transferred to USS LABOON (DDG 58) as a Navy Exchange Officer, serving as LABOON's Navigator. From 1998-2001, LCDR Magee served in the Office of Law Enforcement at Coast Guard Headquarters as a Migrant Interdiction Specialist. ployed to the Middle East as Executive Officer of Coast Guard Patrol Forces Southwest Asia. In 2003, he reported to Coast Guard Personnel Command in the Officer Personnel Management division as Chief of the Separations Section and later transferring to Chief of the Boards Section. LCDR Magee is a U.S. Navy Surface Warfare Officer and he holds a Master's in Public Administration from George Mason University. His awards include two Coast Guard Commendation Medals, a Navy Commendation Medal, a Coast Guard Achievement Medal and two Coast Guard Commandant's Letters of Commendation. He is married to the former Christy Gronlund of East Lyme, CT."
