Greg's Story

On a lark, not all that long ago I entered Pinehenge School into Google. Well,to tell you the truth, I recieved more than I could have possibly imagined! I emailed the webmaster of the Pinehenge site, Brother David Dillon.I suppose it was the summer of 1969 when I first visited the school my own brother Tom Marino co-owned with Bill Dillon and Glenna. In short,David and I became friends through that summer. Fast forward to 2008... After emailing David, we quickly connected by phone and we enjoyed sharing our thoughts about our lives over 4 decades. At the onset of our initial thoughts and from viewing his well organized Pinehenge web-site,my own mortality at age 50 began to creep in.David and I closed a gap in virtually no time at all. And,in no time at all I realized time, in this case, meant absolutely nothing. Although personally and deeply saddened by the quite recent lose of David and Donna's sister Laurie, it was more than apparent the closeness and strength of the Dillon Family along with seemingly life-long friends that h...Expand for more
ave surrounded them helped to carry the burden of such a lose. I learned many things in my brief time at Pinehenge as a quasi-spoiled 12 year old from my home state.I experienced the first love of my life in Waterford Maine and knew many others on the web-site well enough to idetify them today. (Thank you Bill Rubert for beginning my lessons in the metric-system! I use it frequently today) And today, life is difficult and still full of challenges.Working as a technical representitive in the airline industry has provided many challenges. Being a rep for an aircraft manufactured in France does have ability to push the envelope at times. I still do projects in music, some for Walt Disney World Productions and such keeps me going. Recently returned to a childheeod passion, motocross, and about two years ago began long-haul bicycling. I've two daughters who are both married, my oldest a Physician's Assistant. Other than life with my four-legged soul-mate,my golden retriever, along with 3 ferrets and a 28 pound tabby-cat,life goes on.
