School Well, it seems the entire Ansonia education scene has changed since our days there (new high school, grades changing around between Mead and Prendergast) but this was my path: I attended Cabbage Hill Nursery School in Woodbridge, CT. What a great school. I remember Matchbox cars, making snow cones and a kid who went there named Jimmy Carter (odd that at that age I actually knew who President Carter was and thought the coincidence was funny). Then I attended John C. Mead School from Kindergarten to 2nd Grade. I remember our principal's name was Mr. Adzima. I can't tell you what I did last week but I remember his name ;-) Miss Blanchard was my Kindergarten teacher ; Mrs. Zemeites (I probably butchered that spelling) for 1st grade ; Mrs. Cohen for 2nd grade. I then moved on to John G. Prendergast Elementary School (from 3rd grade to 8th grade). Let's see - homeroom teachers. 3rd Grade - Mrs. Morse ; 4th Grade - Mrs. Lyskowsky (wife of the principal) ; 5th Grade - Mrs. Galli ; 6th Grade - Mr. Matusovich (Mr. Matt) ; 7th Grade - wow, complete blank on 7th grade - did I have a bad experience? :-) ; 8th Grade - Mr. Klenota. Notable elementary school ladies (sorry if you're a Classmates member): Michelle Blanchard, Becky Kuntz, Meshell Sosnowski, Jodi Wanzie, Lori Spatafore, Magda Kosciecza and Robin Soltez.
