Gregory's Story

Life July 2010 - We are a blended family. Matt is 20 and in fourth year of university, Chris is 17. Both are from my wife's previous marriage. I have Braydon who is 17 and Riley who is 15 from my previous marriage. That makes 4 boys and we had Samantha 8 years ago. We're one very busy family. Braydon and Riley play hockey, so we live in hockey arenas around southern and central Ontario during the winter. Samantha is a rink rat whose grown up watching her brothers play. Since 1995, I have been living in a small town just north of Toronto. I am always happy to hear from former school mates and friends either from Ryerson, where I studied Journalism (1982-87) or West Toronto Secondary (now referred to as West Toronto Collegiate (1974-79) and unfortunately closing its doors this year. and teachers, some whom I hadn't seen in over 30 years at a West Toronto reunion in May. You never know how these things will turn out but I kept an open mind and it ended up being one of the best times I've had. Everyone was really interested in hearing about my last 30 plus years as much as I was to hear about theirs. I heard stories I'd forgotten years ago and got the latest on people I'd forgotten about. If you ever get a chance to reconnect with old school mates or neighbourhood friends, don't let your insecurities keep you from sharing old stories and finding out how everyone's doing now. When I'm not travelling for business, I enjoy being involved in all my kids busy lives through coaching and helping with challenges of school.
