Gregory's Story
School
In all honestly I did not enjoy the years after grade school up to graduation. I honestly felt the majority of my classmates were cruel partly due to my size, partly because I wasn't very good in sports and for various other reasons that were related to a sheltered upbringing. This made for a very angry, miserable and heart hardening experience.
I can't say any teacher really inspired me; the closest you could come to that would be Mr Leland Mahood.
I would not do it all over again. I went through that hell once, why would I want to do it again? College was a clean start and a much more enjoyable experience.
College
College was much more meaningful than HS. I had my heart set on a psych major at Houghton College but I was not prepared for the step into college. After 1 expensive year of socializing, dating and generally trying to absorb a number of completely new experiences I had to drop out. The GPA was ok but it wasn't stellar. Without cracking the books I was able to maintain a 2.25 for the year.

e in 1990 at CCFL and earned my AAS Accounting in May 1992 with honors, inducted into PTK and ABG. I married a longtime on again off again g/f a few months after graduation.
By 1997 I realized my career was going nowhere and decided to pursue my BS Accounting and enrolled at SUNY Oswego. By my last semester at Oswego in early 1999 my divorce and other related medical issues had me too overwhelmed to continue. I dropped out without completing the two classes I was enrolled in that semester. After taking the hits for not completing those two classes, my GPA dropped to 3.25ish
After moving to Virginia and getting my life straightened out I enrolled at Strayer University to finish up what I had started in NY. All I can say is I had a stellar finish earning my BS Accounting, finally, in 2001, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a 3.91 GPA. In the midst of this I re-married, honeymooning in the smokey mountains of North Carolina. If anyone has seen "Firestarter" "Dirty Dancing" or "The last of the Mohicans" they will recognize where I honeymooned.
