Gregory's Story
Life
I graduated from Elm City in June of 1976. After graduation I went to Wilson Techinical College where I pursued a careeer in Auto mechanics. I did that for a year at a local dealership in Wilson. I wanted to do and see more. So in June of 1979, I got married. Yes I said Married. I married a wonderful and beautiful woman named Reba Ruffin, and until this day in 2007 we are still united. During this time we have two beautiful boys, and one lovely grandchild also a boy, who thinks he is my father. A little about my children, my oldest who is now 27 works at caterpillar in Clayton. His name is Greg Jr. and he at the present time has no children. My youngest son name Gerald is in the Military, in South Korea at the present time. he has a son that is 3 at the time and spends a lot of time with papa.

he Wilson County school system and is a teacher assistant with New Hope school.
As for myself I started driving tractor trailer in 1979 and drove for 16 years for a foodservice company in the Carolina's. I moved up the ladder in that company to delivery supervisor with as many as 53 drivers under my supervison.That was good until 2003 when we were bought out by another company and shut down. That was a wonderful 24 years.
I drove for another local company for a short period of time running from Wilson to the outskirts of Georgia, to the Danville VA. market. That was short lived as that company was also closed.
So for the Past three years since 2004 I have worked for a healthcare facility in Rocky Mount. That is going well, I started out as a courrier for them, (yep) still driving but now I am doing Receiving and Distribution.
