Gregory's Story

After high school I attended Metro State Jr. College in Minneapolis for 1 whole semester. College wasn't for me, so I enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in April of 69 for 4 years. Spent time in Sacramento and San Bernardino, California. Also spent a year each in Vietnam and Thailand. I guess it should be noted that in 1979 I thought I would try a stint in the Mn. Air National Guard for 1 year as I kinda missed working on airplanes again. I stuck it out for 19 more years and retired. After getting out of the...Expand for more
service in April 73. I started working at the Mpls. VA Hospital for the next 3 years in the pharmacy and supply depts. I met my wife there and got married in August of 77. We have 2 grown sons, that live in the Twin Cities. I retired from the Minneapolis Police Dept. in 2001 after 25 years. I did get a little bored after that retirement and spent 6 more years at the MSP Airport Police Dept. Retired from there in December of 2007. Retirement is good, time to travel, go to Twins games and play softball.
