Gregory's Story

Life Most of my history since high school is in the work biography. I hosted the Class of 1965 42nd reunion (2007) at my home in Las Vegas. School See workplace biography College See workplace biography Workplace After Marshall, with a degree in philosophy, I was obligated to active duty in the Navy CB's. After that I went to law school at UNC. Upon graduation, I was hired as a field attorney for the National Labor Relations Board in Phoenix, AZ. After two years, I was recruited into a management side law firm in Phoenix. After two years there, I was recruited to become in-house labor counsel for the Nevada Resort Association in Las Vegas. After two years there, I started my own law firm, representing many of the hotel-casinos I had been working for through the NRA. My wife was my law partner (Smith & Kotchka, Ltd) and we built our own office building in...Expand for more
1991 which we now lease out to another law firm. We have three children, a son who graduated from Gonzaga University (in business), a daughter who graduated No 1 in her class at Loyola Marymount University (in political science, philosophy amd Spanish). She married a young man from Boliva in 2008 and has finished her first year at Yale Law School. Our youngest son is 7 and has 2 piano teachers. We had our Barboursville High 42nd reunion in June 2007 at my house in Las Vagas. Shortly after that, Lani and I were recruited by the largest NV based law firm, Lional Sawyer and Collins, where we head up the labor and employment group of which they even call me chairman. In the May 2009 issue of Human Resource Executive I was named one of the Top 100 labor and employment lawyers (top 10 in the narrower labor lawyers) in the U.S. Military See workplace biography
