Life On August 10, 1974 I got married; We had two kids, Melissa in 1978 and Bryan in 1980. Melissa just earned her PHD in Political Philosophy from North Western University and is teaching at St John's University in NYC. Melissa has just become engaged to Jon Garthoff of Chicago IL, wedding is scheduled for next summer on the beach in North Carolina. Bryan served in the Marines, has worked as a professional diver in Portland Maine and in Electronics Manufacturing. He has returned to USM for a degree in Engineering. He and his companion of 7 years, Jane are living in Falmouth Maine. I am now an "empty-nester", waiting anxiously to be a grandpa, but in the meantime I stay busy with my two retired Greyhounds, Teddy and Westin. I completed 26 years in the Navy, retired and finished my BS in Education at the University of Southern Maine (USM). The Navy called me back to serve as an Intelligence Analyst/Instructor and Systems Engineer. My hobbies include growing Orchids (shared with my son), horseback riding, gardening and singing in community choirs. I also volunteer at the Maine Greyhound Rescue Service in Augusta Maine. Military Served 1973-2000, Aviation Anti-Submarine Warfare Operator (E1-E8), flying patrol and reconnaissance missions on the P-2 Neptune and P-3C Orion aircraft.
