Life
Joined the Marine Corps right after
graduation and other than a short eight month stint from June 1987 to March 1988, I have been in ever
since. I have three children, Chris, Gus Jr and Ashley.
We're currently stationed at Camp
Pendleton, CA and are looking forward to our retirement from the Marine Corps in March 2004.

Started my care...Expand for more
er as a HAWK Missile Systems Operator (Surface-to-Air Missile). Then, after doing that for 14 years, the Marine Corps closed down the HAWK field. So, as a Staff Sergeant, with no MOS, I did a lateral move into the aviation community.
Now I am a Helicopter Mechanic on the Huey (UH-1N) and Cobra (AH-1W) helicopters. (Who would have thought I would go from shooting them down to keeping them flying?)
