Guy's Story
Life
I was raised in North Vancouver, Canada where I earned a degree in International Business from the University of Victoria. As part of that degree I spent 8 months at Fachhochschule Bielefeld in Germany where I took part in the European Business Management program.
I love travelling and experiencing new cultures and so continue to expand the number of cities and countries I have lived in. So far the list of "lived-in cities" is Vancouver, Victoria, Whistler and Toronto in Canada, Bielefeld in Germany, and London in the UK. As a traveller I have visited: Peru, Bolivia, Belize, Honduras, Grand Cayman, Turkey, Bosnia, Croatia, Slovakia, Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland, Italy, France, Greece, Spain, Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Austria, Switzerland...Expand for more
, Australia, Ireland, the United States, and Mexico. I hope to visit a lot more.
As for what I do, IÂm a corporate property consultant - that is the provision of global real estate advice and services to corporate occupiers. I was transferred to Toronto from Vancouver in 1999 as a key point of contact for Federal Express Canada and in late 1999 that mandate was expanded to Latin America and Asia Pacific. I was transferred back to Vancouver after just more than a year in Toronto to take on a management role with the group. In late 2001 I was transferred to London to augment the local team and provide the structure for the global delivery of services to a recently won client, Marconi PLC. During this time I also did some work in Poland for Shell.
