Harlan's Story
Life
After graduation from college with a degree in Communications, I moved to Lexington, Kentucky and worked for six years as the Assistant Stallion Manager at Vinery, the world's then-largest Thoroughbred stallion operation.
I worked for a trainer in Ireland during the summer of 1998 before going to Australia for the first of three breeding seasons. I do not feel as though I chose my career working in the Thoroughbred industry, it chose me. I have had wonderful and unique experiences working with horses, and it has allowed me to travel...Expand for more

I returned to Australia in 2004 to become the Stallion Manager of Chatswood Stud and got my Australian Permanent Residency. It is a different lifestyle that suits me, and I intended to make it my home.
One thing I have learned through traveling is that there is a common thread in people around the world. You will meet good and bad people no matter where you go. I am blessed to have friends who care about me, I have a great job, and I cannot imagine doing anything else.
