Harry's Story
I grew up in Barrie, ON and moved to Kingston, ON, after graduating from Barrie Central Collegiate (1968).
As an undergraduate at Queens university I took Engineering Geology and spent several summers working in arctic Canada with the Geological Survey of Canada. This led to studying permafrost engineering for a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering and to an engineering job at the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) (Division of Buil...Expand for more
ding Research) in Ottawa.
After coming to Ottawa in Dec. 1973 I met Vinita a beautiful Indian lady (the love of my life) and we were married in 1979. We have four kids two boys (Nicholas, Ryan) and then two girls) Kari and Dana.
I continued working at NRC until I retired in Nov. 2007 after 34 years.
Since being retired my son Nicholas and his wife Meghann gave us a grandson, William (2007), and a granddaughter, Eden (2009).
