Heather's Story
Hello everyone! I am registering on this website exactly 10 years after our high school graduation. Hopefully, there will be news of a class reunion soon, as I am excited about visiting with all of you.
Since we have graduated I have spent a majority of my life in college. I graduated in 2000 with a bachelor's in Biology and Chemistry from Drake University. In August of 2000 I got married to the wonderful man that I had been dating for four years. It is hard to believe that we have been married for five years this August. Time goes so fast. From June 2000-2002 I took time off to enjoy married life and contemplated whether to go to medical or pharmacy school. During that time I did genetic research at Pioneer Hibrid. . Pharmacy was a better career choice because a pharmacist works less hours than a physician so I will have more time to raise a family someday ;-).
Currently I am about to begin my last year of pharmacy school at Drake University. In the Spring of 2006 I will be graduating with my Doctor of Pharmacy degree. At this point I am unsure what area of pharmacy I would like to practice in. Currently, I am interested in being a pediatric or critical care pharmacist. However, I am also interested in retail pharmacy. As soon as I finish my pharmacy degree my husband and I plan on moving to Phoenix,AZ.
In my free time my husband and I enjoy biking, hiking and roller blading. My other hobbies include gardening, reading, swimming and spending time with my family and friends.
