Heather's Story
Life
Over the last few years, I've been System's Support for SHU and UB. In this past year I decided to rid myself of the stress associated with I.T. and take an operations management position for a small company in BPT. Married for 5 years now to my husband Kelly and being a mommy to my three year old, Samantha, I can say that life is good. In my spare time, (which there's not too much of) I'm still singing. I've been working alot with my new band, Eclipse, over the past year and half or so and it's going great. Well, there's not much more to say. I hope everything is good for all of you... My four years at Platt were a great experience for me. Learned so much, and not just academics... I learned alot about life and what was to come through being President of VICA, shop, and working closely with the Administration on different projects. Great experiences... ost part. Everybody clicked together, even though we all came from different worlds. There was a common bond. Unless, of course, you were wearing the wrong type of sock, or your scrunci wasn't the same blue as your shirt.
My favorite memories are of "The Fam" in shop. Stephanie (Rosie), Derek "The Director", Jay "Tiny", and My Bro Jared and everybody else. It was so much fun spending almost every day with them. Today, they are all long lost brothers and sisters and I miss them all.
My proudest moments were the VICA competitions. Students that were part of our club and representing Platt Tech, would compete in their trades. And at every convention, there'd be a grand ceremony at the end where awards would be presented. I was so proud of our club, and those students when they would win, place or show. And by the by, without ultimate direction, we wouldn't have existed. That's where Mrs. "P" and Mr. Rich (Riccitelli)... Loved them... They taught me alot and I'll always be grateful to them.
