Heather's Story
After growing up in Milwaukee's inner city, having survived the race riots of the '60s, and racial changes of our neighborhood, my family moved to Wauwatosa.
I got out of Wauwatosa East in '76 after being invited to stay on another year and a half. I felt it was time for a sabbactacle (sp?).
I met my first husband while working at my first job. I drove a school bus and he fixed them. After living together at his house on S. 26th in Milwaukee, he asked me to move with him to Janesville in '89, where he had gotten a new job with the phone company. We got married in '92 in Las Vegas.
Unfortunately, our marriage only lasted until '00, not until death do us part. I screwed this one up...
My second husband worked at the same place I did as well. This time it was TNT?LSI. We married in '01 and moved out of the city of Janesville to La Prairie Township east of town.
Once I ran out of money, he packed his sh*t and left for Teaxs while I was at work one day in '06.
I had to sell most of my things to pay for the divorce and file bankruptcy. Things that I wish I had yet, things that were special to me; fishing boat, camper, oak hutch. I could strangle somebody for going thru all that...

oceded to chat back and forth for several weeks. One year ago today, as a matter of fact, we actually met for the first time. I drove up to meet him at the bar and we sat for hours talking. I met a lot of his friends that night, and now they are my friends as well.
When we left the bar to go back to his place (he had dinner in a slow cooker waiting), the moon was high and the road was clear. The hills and valleys were so beautiful that night, I knew then that I wanted to come back here.
I was completely moved in by April 15th of last year. I have gotten a new job with the help of my new friends, several of whom work where I work now.
Although I am currently laid off, I now have time to do things around the farm here. Fuzzy and I are on a 93 acre farm about 8 miles outside of town. We have horses, chickens, and a steer. In the summer, you can hear the coyotes off in the distance at sunset. Eagles are everywhere and the deer and turkeys play in our yard. The neighbor brought his herd of 18 horses back to the pasture behind ours the other day.
Well, that just about sums up what I've up to so far. I haven't told the whole story, maybe another time.
I still have over 17,000 characters remaining, but I've run out of things to say here.
