Heather's Story
Life
After School I attend the Univ. of Maine at Farmington where I earned my BS in Special Education and my certificate in Elementary Ed. I taught in New Hampshire for the seven years after (96 - 2003) UMF. I returned home to Durham in June 2003. My children are my pride and joy. They make me smile, laugh, look at life through little eyes, and enjoy every minute of it. I got married on August 5th, 2006 to Michael Perry of Litchfield, ME, and added his two girls to my happy family. ty and officially graduated in May 2008. I am involved with Girl Scouts of Maine and provide Adult Learning opportunities and training to other leaders.
Workplace
I love what I do and learn something new from my students every day! I worked in New Hampshire for 7 years, returned to Maine and taught in Lisbon for 9 years. I am currently teaching in RSU#5 at Mast Landing School and have been with the district for 10 years. I have been working in Special Education since graduating from UMF. During my summers I provide Extended School Year programming.
