Heather's Story
First off I am not a great story teller. Forget correct grammer and puncuation. Finally this is going to be long, time has passed and we are old. Yes sorry folks it is true!
High School was just that to me another part of growing up and getting on. Still trying to figure out how some people figure it is the best years of their lives.
Friends yeah I had plenty, just not ones that lasted long after graduation. Miss a few and would like to reconnect, just if to say hello. Went to the ten year class reunion for '77 never took pictures. Perhaps someone from the class has some and could post them.
To end my story for today I would like to add the fact that my senior year I was old enough to get into lounges and did party to hearty some nights. The best part is most my friends had fake ID's...had to lie to their parents. One accident in a car blew their chances and for some reason I ended up the bad guy. TTFN
Just a couple of things I want to add today. In second grade going to St. Helena's in Roseland southside Chicago I wanted to be a second grade drop out! Well the nuns never were to happy with me and with their help and my parents I was held back to second grade once more the following year. Wasn't to bad really kinda nice and easy. Playing tag in the school yard fell and broke my wrist silly nuns did not...Expand for more
believe me cause it never swelled well they got a real awakening when I came to school with a cast on my arm.
A few of my fav teachers were my fourth grade teacher Mrs. Lacy at Dunn school, Mr Champlain sixth grade at Bert Fulton Tinley Park, last and sorry to say I can not recall her name but she was great an English teacher at Sandburg.
Some old friends names I would like to throw on here Gerri Bertucci, Cindy Diaz, Janet England, Darleen Beason, Cindy Gertz, Dea Makenzie, Sheila, Patty and so many more...more later old friends.
Some jobs I had after graduating from Sandburg. Preschool teacher, Marshall Fields, Panduit, Charlie Horse, Chi- Chi's and Dominick's. Then of course I had to move to sunny Arizona. Came back to Tinley Park for a year got a job at Osco Drugs, lucky to get a transfer back to Arizona. Stayed with Osco for nearly ten years. Worked at Albertson's,met my man playing gin on AOL.Left Albertson's to go get Lee from England. Married Mr. Lee Hicken from West Bromwich, West Midlands England August 31 2001. That is a story in itself...lol
Never thought I would marry-happy I held out for the best. Looking forward to 2011 and our travels in Europe. England to visit hubbies family, a week in Greece and to top it off France. Happy Holidays!
That is it folks take care, stay happy and healthy!
