Heather's Story
Life
I got my degree in 2003 and am living in Bethel as a teacher. During the summer of 2005 I took my mom to Ireland and accomplished one life goal. I accomplished another dream during the summer of 2006 and saw the redwoods. I have to say that I love these summer vacations.
Workplace
I am a teacher for the Lower Kus...Expand for more
kokwim School District in Eek. I am teaching a 3T class (3rd Transitional). This is a class that has a combination of 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders who are coming out of the Yup'ik First Language program. These are students who have been taught primarily in Yup'ik and have been taught in English for a year or more.
