Heather Bacon:  

After Bowman, went to UofS for 2 years, Married Jim Orr in '74 & moved away from S'toon for a couple of years. Back in S'toon by '76, we got a mortgage & had 2 beautiful daughters together - Cara & Jana, so my degree was put on hold. Sadly Jim & I divorced in '88. I am now very happily married to Kirk Bacon (Walter Murray alum). We blended our kids a la Brady Bunch style in 1990, and I gained 3 great stepsons - Kent, Paul & Rob. We've been very blessed that our 5 kids got along so well and have all grown up to become accomplished & successful. I had a close scare with cancer in 1998, but after major surgery, chemo & radiation, I had a bit of a miraculous recovery thanks to several complementary therapies and the love & incredible support of Kirk, our kids, my family & good friends. While recuperating, I managed to finally finish my BA in Psychology & Women's & Gender Studies in 2001, and also learned a lot about nutrition & healthy lifestyles. Kirk & I moved to Calgary in 2005.
