Heather's Story
Life
I grew up here in the Central Valley of California, Modesto (but was born in Wisconsin). I have lived in the Bay Area for a little over 5 years now. I have an Associate of Arts Degree in Fine Art from MJC (Modesto Jr. Collage) - it took me 6 years of part time school to get this 2 year degree. I am a Manager at a picture frame shop in Oakland and I have been doing framing for 13 years. I love anything art related and the new form of art that I'm exploring is glass lamp working. I also do photograph, sketching, oil & acrylic painting and printmaking...

Workplace
I am a Manager at a picture frame shop in Oakland and I have been doing framing for 15 years. I started at Michael's in Modesto (when it was still on McHenery) & then moved to Artel also in Modesto (in McHenery Village)... I worked at a frame shop in South Carolina for a year and tought classes there as well... Then back to Artel... Now I'm happy to be out of Modesto and working in the Bay Area (Oakland).
