School
I am glad that it was only four years of my life and I hope that the kids going through high school could understand that. I had good memories but thank goodness high school doesn't impact the rest of your life that much. The best lessons learned in school would be to make good friends, be kind to everyone and be yourself. My teachers were a big impact even though they maybe don't always get credit. Mr. Flavin and Mrs. Lott were the most for me because of drama and then home room. I still love you Nor! To the kids going through it now, we eventually grow up and become normal so hang in there.
College
I went to EMU for the first semester..hated it! I had just became a wife and was adjusting so that was part of the problem. Later when we moved to Lynchburg I went to Liberty University. I loved Liberty. The best teachers in the world are at LU! I too...Expand for more
k Psychology more to figure out myself then anything at the time but now I get to use childhood development some. My best friend, Ruth where are you? She moved to Danville and I haven't heard from her! Liberty was the best school for me and I have great memories.
Workplace
I did everything in college from jewlery to shoes. I ended up working at Hallmark in Lynchburg and that was my favorite part time job. I worked as a receptionist for a couple of places until I finally got a job with First Colony Life Insurance, now Genworth Financial. I worked for the life insurance side in Policy Services, I answered phones and processed requests. I liked the job, I liked the people very much. I left to be a Mommy full time which I do not regret. I am very into my job now. I am a PTA Mom. Hannah dances, plays in the band and is in the drama club. Alex is trying out different sports. We swam over the summer and he is waiting for basketball season to start. The hours are awful and the vacations are hectic but I couldn't imagine any other job being this satisfying.
