Heidi's Story
Met my husband while in Charleston South Carolina. I was living on a near by island teaching at an outdoor and environmental science camp. The experience was incredible, although the pay left much to be desired. My husband was stationed there w/ the Navy. He's a nuclear engineer, currently acting as a career counselor and doing nothing remotely related to his degree. I'm not complaining though, b/c the hours and stress in his life have both decreased dramatically since his career change. Until recently he's been deployed about as much as he's been home. ...Expand for more
He isn't supposed to have any deployments for the next two years...another nice change. We're currently living in Oak Harbor, WA and hope to be able to stay here. We have just over 2 acres of land...which I love! It gives me the opportuniy to work on my green thumb, and reap all the yummy rewards. I'm a stay at home mother of four children. Jillian, James and twins Claire and Hannah. Outside of home and family my biggest interest is triathlons. I've done 2 this year and hope to continue to do atleast a couple each year...until my body won't allow.
