Heidi's Story
Since leaving Greeendale after graduation, I spent two years at UW Stout. I fell in love with the beautiful countryside in northern WI. This is where I learned to X-Country ski and bicycle through the countryside in the summer. After two years I decided to transfer to UW Madison with a different major in mind.
The summer prior to starting at Madison I worked at Lake Lawn Lodge in Delavin, WI. I met another waitress,(Sue) from Chicago who also worked at the lodge. We became friends and decided to go to Europe in the Fall. So I postponed starting school until the 2ND semester. I think spending about 2 months traveling through Western Europe was one of the best experiences in my life.
After 4 semesters studying Communication Arts (a brand new major) while at Madison, I still remained undecided. So somehow my interest was peaked with going into Radiology a technical field. Two more years studying to be a Radiologic Technologist I found not only my nitch but my husband, Keith.

We married and moved to DeForest,(N. of Madison),and 4 years later had our daughter,( Kendra). When our second child, (Brandon) was due we moved to Waunakee.
17 years later I divorced and moved around a bit maintaining 50% custody of my kids while working full time. My kids grew up with two loving parents and I'm proud to say Keith and I have remained friends to date.
My daughter graduated with her Masters degree in Public Health and my son just graduated with a degree in Finance. Fortunately, they are both employed in the Twin Cities in Minnesota.
Meanwhile, 5 years ago, Rich Harms and I ran into each other in Madison. We were both divorced with kids of similar ages and we started dating. That is all history now as we were married in Lake Tahoe June 19, 2006. We both thought getting our classmates together to share their stories was long overdue. So for anyone reading this, go to the beer tent Aug. 14Th during Greendale's Village days this summer. We hope to see you there.
